Case Study
OK Complete
I was contacted by the owner of OK Complete to create them a new logo identity for their brand. OK Complete own and run a few websites and this site was a portfolio of their sites and assets so the logo identity had to represent this.
After receiving the questionnaire that I sent out to them I had one clear rule. I had to create a mark/icon that could stand out on its own without the text. A designers dream or so some people would have you think!
After spending a good amount of time researching and then in the sketchbook I had one real solid idea that I thought would work and work really well. So I moved in to Adobe illustrator.
The idea that I had for the mark/icon was to incorporate the o and k in to a face symbol. The main reason for this was to play of the adjectives that they used in the brief and the tag line. The aim was to make it a playful/mischievous face. If you look closely at the mark/icon you can see this (well I hope you can).
I sent the first version over. They really liked the version but it was a glossier version then you see now. Sadly this image was lost when I had a hard drive crash. I took the gloss out of it and then sent it back for more feedback.
After a few very minor edits to the tag line (they changed it at the last moment. You have t love clients) we were finished.
