The owner of a highly popular aggressor site that lists websites, domains and all other things internet related from leading sites such as sitepoint.com and namepros.com. Mubashar Iqbal or MUBS as he likes to be called was interested in rebranding the site logo.
As always I sent MUBS the questionnaire to fill out so that I could get a better understanding of is goals and needs for the logo. After I received the information I did some preliminary research and then went to my sketchbook.
After coming up with a few ideas I moved on to Adobe Illustrator to put these ideas in to reality.
The first idea was to make a for sale sign that real estate agents use. I drew this out and then sent it to MUBS to see if we were going in the right direction.
MUBS was on the fence with this version. He liked the general idea but it did not really portray internet or computers. It was MUBS who came up with the idea of adding some wires to this to try and represent computers.
This is the version after feedback:
After much deliberation MUBS decided that it was still not working and to try another approach.
So I went and looked at the ideas that I had but there was still no real solid idea
as I put all my eggs in one basket so to speak.
I had a brief chat to MUBS and he suggested that we should go with a monitor to represent computers. I then went back and did some research on computer monitors. I then drew one out in Illustrator and presented this to MUBS.
MUBS was impressed with the end result. There was no need for any minor tweaks as he thought that it was what he needed as it was. I then sent MUBS the files and received payment.
